Hdb2Win, Version 2.2.2

Advice for users of release 2.2.1 -
The following release 2.2.2 of the program includes also the files you need to update to SR9 (PaleoTax) / SR3 (PalCol).
Therefore,
make first backup copies,
install then Hdb2Win/PaleoTax 2.2.2 (do not open the database), and
install finally SR9 / SR3.

Because of its size, Hdb2Win 2.2 is splitted into various archives. Not all are required for all users, depending on what they want to do.

Hdb2Win 2.2.2.11
(5/3/2008) hdb22211.zip (1.6 MB) Basic files for new installation and update. Required for all users.

PaleoTax 2.2 SR9
(2/16/2008) ptxsr9.zip (330 KB) PaleoTax data base structure for new installation and update. Only for PaleoTax [Taxonomic data base] users required.

PalCol 2.2 SR3
(1/15/2008) pclsr3.zip (180 KB) PalCol data base structure for new installation and update. Only for PalCol [Collection data base] users required. User who installed an older version before, need to install this package again.

PaleoTax/Graph 2.0.2
(1/15/2008) ptxgraph.zip (420 KB) PaleoTax graphic package for new installation and update. New version. Only required for PaleoTax users who estimate their data base.

PaleoTax/Map 2.1.0.5
(1/15/2008) ptxmap21.zip (2.34 MB) PaleoTax/Map package - new installation. Only required for PaleoTax users who would like to plot localities, genera and species.

Documentation
(1/15/2008) doc.zip (840 KB) Encompasses the following PDF files of the documentation: Hdb2Win 2.2.2, PaleoTax SR9, PaleoTax/Graph. Files will be installed in a separate folder. It is not necessary to download this file if you have already downloaded files from the manual page.

How to install the software -

Download first all archives you need.
Unpack them in a temporary folder.
Do not start the Windows-Installer !
Start INSTALL.EXE (contained in the HDB22211 archive).
Install the required moduls.
User who install HDB2WIN for the first time, do not need to execute any Service Release.
User, who have installed an older version before, need to update their data structure: HDB2WIN/SR9/SR9.PRF (for PaleoTax) / HDB2WIN/PCLSR3/SR3 (for PalCol) .
Manuals can be installed together with the programs; or check the list of documentation as PDF files.
